Privacy Policy

How Believers Corner handles your information — written plainly, so you know what we keep, why, and what you control.

Private chats stay private

DMs and group chats are end‑to‑end encrypted and kept only on your phone.

You control what you share

Choose who sees posts, who can message you, and block anyone.

Leave any time

Delete your account from Settings and your data goes with it.

1. Who we are

Believers Corner is a faith community app for iPhone and Android, run by Fadote Intl Services (“we”, “us”). This policy covers the Believers Corner app and this website.

2. What we collect

Your account

  • Your name, @username and email address.
  • How you sign in — email and password, Sign in with Apple or Google. If you use Apple's “Hide My Email”, we only receive the relay address.
  • Your profile photo, bio and the church you choose.

What you share

  • Posts, comments, Sermon Shorts, photos and videos, Scripture you attach, prayer requests, likes and saved posts.
  • Who you follow, follow requests, and the churches and study groups you join.
  • Group activity such as reading-plan progress, which other members of that group can see.

Messages and calls

Direct messages and group chats are end‑to‑end encrypted and stored only on your phone. We can't read them. If you make a chat backup, that file is yours to keep wherever you choose. Voice and video calls are connected in real time, and no recordings of calls are made or stored.

Your device

  • A push‑notification token so we can send the alerts you turn on.
  • Basic technical details such as device type and app version, used to keep the app working.
  • Bible chapters you open are saved on your phone so you can read them offline.

With your permission, the app uses your camera (photos, videos and video calls), photo library (sharing images) and microphone (voice notes and calls). You can change these in your phone's settings at any time.

3. How we use it

  • To run the features you use: your feed, Shorts, groups, church pages, the Bible reader and reminders.
  • To send notifications you've asked for — likes, comments, mentions, follows, group invites, church announcements and meeting reminders.
  • To keep the community safe, including reviewing reports and hiding content that several members have reported.
  • To answer you when you contact support.

We do not sell your personal information.

4. Who can see what

  • Posts can be shared with everyone or only your followers — you choose each time.
  • Private account: turn it on and people must request to follow you.
  • Messages: choose whether everyone or only followers can message you.
  • Groups: members see what's shared in the group; invite‑only groups stay closed to others.
  • Church admins can post announcements that reach every member of their church.

5. Services we rely on

We use trusted providers to run the app. They process data only to provide their service to us:

  • Google Firebase — sign‑in, database, file storage and server functions.
  • Apple and Google — if you choose to sign in with them.
  • Expo — delivering push notifications to your phone.
  • LiveKit — connecting voice and video calls.
  • bible‑api.com — public‑domain Bible text. We request the passage only; your account details aren't sent.

6. Your choices

  • Edit your profile, or change privacy, messaging and notification settings, in Settings.
  • Block anyone, and unblock them later from Blocked accounts.
  • Report a post, comment, message or person you think breaks our rules.
  • Delete your account from Settings → Delete account. This permanently deletes your profile, posts, comments, messages and group memberships.

7. How long we keep it

We keep your information while your account is open. When you delete your account, we delete your data from the app, and remove it from backups within 30 days, unless the law requires us to keep something longer.

8. Security

Chats are end‑to‑end encrypted, information travels over encrypted connections, and access to stored data is limited by strict security rules. No system is perfect, so please use a strong password and keep your phone locked.

9. Children

Believers Corner isn't meant for children under 13. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we'll remove it.

10. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, download or delete your information, or to object to how we use it. Email us and we'll respond within 30 days. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.

11. Changes

If we make important changes, we'll tell you in the app before they take effect and update the date at the top of this page.
